Moonbeam Backer Surveys Inbound!

Hey everyone! 

Some of you may have noticed an email in your inbox with your backer survey. BackerKit requires us to do a smoke test (sending the survey to 5% of backers at each pledge tier) to make sure everything is working the way we want it to. 

Once we’ve received the majority of smoke test responses, we’ll triple-check everything, and we aim to send the survey to all backers early next week. 

What Happens Next?

If you submit your survey on or before December 2nd, you will receive an email with your account details on Alpha Launch Day (December 6th). 

After December 2nd, we will send out account details on a weekly basis as surveys come in. 

The sooner you fill out the backer survey, the sooner we can fulfill your pledge. When you log in for the first time, all your rewards, including Early Bird and Cross-Collaboration incentives, will be waiting in your account! 

If your pledge involves Beta access, you will not receive your account on December 6th. Keep an eye on our campaign updates for when we announce our Beta Launch. 

In case you missed it, our friends over at Monte Cook Games announced the winners of their streaming scholarship! The Cypher Stream Creator Fund recipients will start streaming on Moonbeam when we go to full release in 2025. Image Specs

For those of you who are excited about profile images, profile banners, or Realm images, here are the specs to get you started early!

  • Profile images should be 400px by 400px.
  • Profile cover images should have an aspect ratio of 5:2. For best results, use an image that's between 1,000 and 2,000 pixels wide.
  • Realm logos should be 400px by 400px.
  • Realm cover / banner images should have an aspect ratio of 5:2. For best results, use an image that's between 1,000 and 2,000 pixels wide.

Alpha Phase Realm Owners

If you pledged at the Realm Owner tier, you'll have your Realm ready to go once you log in with your Moonbeam account. You can set up your channels, roles, and images. Additionally, we expect to have up to 100 invite codes that you can use to invite people into your Realm and onto Moonbeam. You can use these invites to invite anyone into your community!

Moonbeam Alpha: December 6th!

Friends of Moonbeam!

The time to launch Moonbeam’s Alpha phase has come at last my friends!

Moonbeam is opening its doors (and Realms) on December 6th for our Alpha phase launch!

Over the next few weeks, you’ll receive your BackerKit surveys where you can modify your pledge level and verify your information so we can send you onboarding instructions.

If you have a priority Realm in Alpha phase, you’ll also receive additional invites for your Realm.

The team has been HARD at work getting Moonbeam ready. Alpha is gonna be a wild ride, full of bumps, bugs, thrills, and historic “firsts.” I look forward to seeing you all there!

Happy Halloween from Moonbeam!

Happy early Halloween everyone! I hope you all have spooky plans for tomorrow. I am just returning from two weeks of travel, including time at Gamehole Con and Big Bad Con, where I had the pleasure of meeting many fans of Moonbeam and discussing the future of live streaming!

Today, we have a quick update to inform you that I'll be streaming on Wednesday, November 6th at 9 p.m. Eastern. You can find our streams here on BackerKit, YouTube, Twitch, and X.

The entire team is working hard to open alpha, and right now, we are still set to launch in Q4, but after Thanksgiving. We've added many new features to Moonbeam, so even alpha will be robust compared to what you'd expect from an early alpha. I'll be going over this roadmap during our stream next week and discussing the new features we've added.

I'll see you all on the stream next week, and I look forward to showing you what the team has been working on and more! Cheers!!
