Greetings everyone! I want to thank you all so much for a resounding BackerKit success! We've done something no other live streaming platform has—we have shown that the best way to build a platform for creators and fans is to involve them from day 1!

The Moonbeam Collection raised over $136,524 from 2,253 backers, all of whom are now joining Moonbeam's alpha and beta phases! We also have 177 Realms launching in alpha—this is going to be epic and exciting. I can't wait to see what you all have in store for us!

We have a few things to do over the next few months, including sending out surveys via BackerKit's pledge manager by the end of August. At that time, you can increase your pledge or get some add-ons if you'd like. Once this period ends, we will email you individually regarding your pledge level and the corresponding rewards.

We are focusing all our resources on building Moonbeam ASAP to onboard everyone in Q4 2024. In the meantime, feel free to begin creating Discord servers for your Realms, check out this unofficial Moonbeam community on Reddit that popped up (FYI, we have no official affiliation with this community), our Facebook page, or our X.com (formerly Twitter) profile, or start collaborating amongst yourselves to come up with ideas for your Realms of other collab projects you'll want to do on Moonbeam. Also, you might want to start setting up your channels on other streaming platforms so you can multistream once Moonbeam is live—we want you all to stream as many places as you want from day 1. 

I'll be live streaming on Thursday, August 15th, at 9pm EDT / 8pm CDT / 6pm PDT on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. Join me to chat about the next steps for you and Moonbeam.

Greetings, friends! I've made it back home after visiting family in Florida and spending an amazing time at Gen Con meeting with so many Moonbeam fans, backers, and advocates! You can say I am just a little tired, but alas, there is no sleep or rest until our BackerKit campaign ends!

We are entering the final few days of the Moonbeam Collections campaign to challenge the status quo in live streaming. Many folks have asked me if we've accomplished what we set out to do with this BackerKit campaign, and the honest answer is one I owe you: YES!

As I mentioned in our story, we've raised money before this to build and support the rollout of Moonbeam, and we realize we need a lot more to grow and compete at scale. To do so, we used this campaign to test our theory that people truly do want an alternative to the live streaming platforms that exist. Your support has validated our hypothesis and allows us to gain even more resources while staying true to the vision and ethos we've discussed. Because, now, it's not just our opinion that people want moderation, Realms, or a new form of the live streaming platform, it's a fact, and you have all proven that in a big way! Thank you, and I can't wait to share how your support impacted what happens next as we look towards Q4 2024!

This week, I'll be live streaming some more to chat with you and answer any last-minute questions before the campaign ends.

As we enter our final days, you can help us by spreading the word and encouraging individuals you know, even skeptical ones, to back us, even if it is just at the $1 tier, that validation helps us show others that people want an alternative platform. 

Our engineering team rolled out the attached poll and features for you all. One of the things we have to do as a startup is prioritize resources and speak with you so our features and product roadmap align with your needs. We've gotten to where we are today by speaking to hundreds of creators and personally demoing Moonbeam to over 150 creators. We understand that your input and feedback are the lifeblood of Moonbeam. I can't wait to see how Moonbeam shapes up to meet your needs!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

A quick update before I head out to a few events here at Gen Con, but we have the results from our stretch goal poll and it is VERY interesting! 72% of you asked for a new creator-focused feature, so tomorrow, I'll be doing a live stream to discuss where we go from here and what features we will present to you all for another round of voting.

I'll also be chatting about some of our business plans going forward. We want you to know that we're building Moonbeam methodically, so it'll be a sustainable platform that'll be around for a long time! Lastly, we've been invited to hold a Moonbeam AMA on r/LivestreamFail, a community with over 3.2 million members on Reddit! More details to follow!
